Overview

Gangtok is a beautiful hill station located in the Indian state of Sikkim. It is the capital city of the state and is situated at an altitude of 5,500 feet.Gangtok is also home to some of the most beautiful monasteries in the region, including the Rumtek Monastery and the Enchey Monastery. The Rumtek Monastery is the largest monastery in Sikkim and is home to the Karma Kagyu sect of Tibetan Buddhism. Other popular landmarks in Gangtok include the Tsomgo Lake, Nathula Pass, and the Ganesh Tok View Point. The Tsomgo Lake is a glacial lake located at an altitude of 12,400 feet and is a popular spot for bird watching. The Nathula Pass is a mountain pass that connects India and Tibet and is a popular spot for trekking and sightseeing. The Ganesh Tok View Point is a hilltop temple that offers breathtaking views of the city and the surrounding mountains.

Day Wise Itinerary

Pickup from NJP Railway Station/ IXB Airport to Gangtok Enroute Sightseeing ---- Gangtok is an attractive tourist destination, reflecting a unique ambience which derives from its happy blend of tradition and modernity. Alongside the deeply felt presence of stupas and monasteries, Gangtok also bustles like any other thriving town. In the evening you can visit local market or nearby area (at your own). Overnight Stay at Hotel.
After breakfast, proceed for Gangtok local sightseeing. Explore Do-Drul Chorten, Tibetology Handicraft, Flower Show, Tashi Viewpoint, and Ganesh Tok. Then On the way, stop at Kyongnosla Waterfalls, Bakthang Falls, and Lhasa Waterfall to enjoy the beauty of the waterfalls.
After breakfast drive to oval-shaped Tsomgo Lake also called Changu Lake (Alt 12000ft/3600M), a high- altitude alpine lake close to Indo-China Border. Enjoy playing in snow and try Yak Ride and proceed further to Legendary Baba Harbhajan Singh Mandir. Optional tours to Nathula Pass (14000 ft/4200 M) on the China Border can be arranged (except Monday and Tuesday) for Indians only. Return to the hotel. Overnight stay at Gangtok.
After Breakast leisure time free for packing and personal activity, transfer to Bagdogra airport or Njp Railway station and proceed journey with a sweet memory of the North East.
